Earlier today Athena International Publishing reached a significant milestone in terms of article usage by surpassing one million downloads from its content platform. Athena launched the platform at the beginning of 2022 and has a portfolio consisting of STM journals, book series, books and conference proceedings. All content is open access and hence free to read, download, copy and distribute under the terms of the applicable end-user license.

Athena International Publishing regrets to announce the closure of two more journals: “Growth and Form” and “Natural Language Processing Research” will be discontinued. Both journals transferred to Athena from Atlantis Press in 2022 after they were acquired by Springer Nature, but have struggled to achieve a regular content flow since then. The move marks a further consolidation of Athena's STM journals portfolio.

Athena International Publishing today announced the closure of the journal “Materials Highlights” citing competition and lack of article flow as the main reasons. The journal transferred to Athena from Atlantis Press in 2022 after they were acquired by Springer Nature, but did not succeed to publish another issue since moving onto the Athena platform. As of today, the journal is no longer open for submissions.

Athena International Publishing is pleased to announce that the “Journal of Software Engineering for Autonomous Systems” has published its first issue. This milestone was achieved under the Chief Editorial leadership of Mark van den Brand (Eindhoven University of Technology), Yanja Dajsuren (Eindhoven University of Technology) and Arash Saberi (Mithra-AI), the three Founding Editors of the journal.
