The first volume in the series Athena Transactions in Mathematical and Physical Sciences (ATMPS) has been published. Volume 1 contains the proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on Square Bamboos and the Geometree (ISSBG 2022). This symposium was jointly organized by Genicap Beheer B.V. and Geniaal B.V. and brought together botanists, biologists, technologists, physicists, applied mathematicians and geometers. The name of the symposium symbolizes the close connection between geometry and the natural sciences. Volume Editors Johan Gielis and Simone Brasili are also Editor-in-Chief and Area Editor respectively of the journal Growth and Form which is also published by Athena. ATMPS offers conference organizers a fast, versatile and cost-effective process for publishing the proceedings of academic conferences and workshops in the broad fields of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
